A Brief Look at the History of German Film

‍The Guardian newspaper published a short history of German cinema with some film clips. The article explores German cinematography from post WW1 to this present time.

Published film clips include extracts from early classics such as "Der blaue Engel" (The blue angel), "Das Kabinett des Dr. Caligari" (The cabinet of Dr. Caligari) and contemporary cinema with "Das Leben der Andern" (The life of others).
