K 21 - Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen
The Staendehaus was the home of the federal state North-Rhine Westphalia's Parliament until 1988.  The years between 1997 and 2002 saw the conversion of the historical listed monument into a museum.
The premises and the 'K21' art collection were inaugurated in a ceremony, on 18th of April 2002. The K21 art collection concentrates on art from 1980 into the 21st century.
Due to extensive renovation works K21 will be closed until 26 February and reopen on 27 February with a new collection and an exhibition on Ana Torfs.
