"In another league", (Eine andere Liga) tells the story of 20 year old German/ Turkish woman Hayat, a passionate soccer player.
Being diagnosed with breast cancer, the disease which killed her mother, and her sudden confrontation with death Hayat finds herself off the team. The road to recovery is not easy, but her love for soccer lets her overcome an overprotective father and her old team and she eventually finds love.
SBS 1 screens this romantic comedy on Sunday night, 31 July at 10 pm. In German with English subtitles.
