‍A great way of improving foreign language skills is watching movies, documentaries etc..

However, even advanced students find it hard to follow the pace in a natural spoken movie environment. English subtitles are helpful but don't really give an accurate translation.

If you watch a German movie with German subtitles (usually provided for the hearing impaired) you will find your vocabulary improving rapidly.

Many broadcasters offer today video on demand in their Mediathek. One excample is WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk).

For short documentaries covering themes from Germany and abroad go to : WDRChoose a video, open it and select the button UT (Untertitel= subtitle).
