Working Holiday Visa in Germany

Have you ever thought about working in Germany whilst travelling Europe?  The Working Holiday Visa programme gives Australian passport holders between 18 and 30 the opportunity to gain an insight into the culture and daily life in Germany and finance their travels through work. You can apply for it either in a consulate in Australia or at the office for foreigners (Auslaenderbeh”ßrde) in Germany. The visa cost is $60 and you need to show proof that you have a minimum of AUD $400 per month for the complete length of your stay.

To be eligible you must:

be aged between 18 and 30

hold an Australian passport

not have previously participated in the German Working Holiday Program

hold medical and comprehensive hospitalisation insurance for the length of your stay

have a return travel ticket

not be accompanied by dependents
